Will GTA 6 Be Available on Xbox Game Pass cloudgaming?
Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) finally has a release date! Rockstar has been keeping fans of the GTA franchise waiting for many years but have finally announced GTA 6 being released in early 2025.
Fans seem to have only been teased by updates from Microsoft that list GTA 5 as still being on popular releases.
I know I have seen comments on social media making fun of GTA 5 still being a popular release and demanding a GTA 6 release date.
Rockstar treated gamers to the trailer yesterday. So far, the GTA 6 trailer drove fans into a frenzy and rocked up a mere 50 million views within only a few hours. So, there is much anticipation for the release of the next GTA instalment.
But gamers on Xbox and PC platforms may be wondering whether GTA 6 will be available on Game Pass cloudgaming?
Anyone who has downloaded a GTA game before knows the pain of waiting hours for the 150gb file to download. If you are on a slower internet connection, the time spent waiting is definitely frustrating when you just want to get stuck into playing your favourite game.
Xbox Game Pass cloudgaming offers players a convenient experience in being able to stream games over the internet rather than downloading them. This would allow players to jump straight into GTA 6 gameplay rather than having to wait for it to install.
A feature and offering that would be warmly welcomed by the gaming community and GTA fan base.
With anticipated online gameplay for GTA 6, a cloudgaming option via Xbox Game Pass means players wouldn’t have to wait for annoying software updates as well. This is because updates would be rolled up into cloud hosted game.
GTA 6’s predecessor, GTA V is available on Xbox Game Pass for cloudgaming, and while there is no official word from Rockstar or Microsoft, perhaps past history might indicate GTA 6 availability on Xbox Game Pass cloudgaming.
A GTA 6 release on Xbox Game Pass cloud gaming may also accelerate PC gamers’ access to the game. When GTA 5 was released, there was a delay in a PC release as Rockstar focused on optimising gameplay for console. With a release on Xbox Game Pass, GTA 6 will be accessible to both Xbox and PC gamers as all that will be needed is a client to stream the game over the internet.
